Equipment Rental
Texas Filmmakers rents equipment to anyone seeking professional quality equipment at low rates. We have two types of cameras with accessories: Canon XL2 and Canon GL2. The equipment may be used anywhere in the U.S. For those of you trying to figure out how to get access to great cameras without spending a ton of money, look no further, you have found it. Instructions for renting gear is below.

Rental Policies

  1. ARIST or NON-ARTIST? - If you are an Artist member of Texas Filmmakers, you receive special pricing on all equipment/facilities. If not, you must pay the standard rates for all equipment/facilities. To view the complete fee schedule click here.
  2. SECURITY DEPOSIT - All customers must provide a security deposit of either $50 or $100 depending upon the total replacement value of the equipment being rented. The deposit may be either cash or a credit pre-authorization. The deposit will be refunded upon the prompt return of the rented equipment.
  3. INSURANCE - If you are not an Artist member of Texas Filmmakers then you are required to provide insurance covering the total replacement value of the rented equipment and Texas Filmmakers must be named loss payee.
  4. TRAINING - If you are an Artist member of Texas Filmmakers then you are reqired to attend a monthly workshop on the use of the equpiment. The workshops are typically held on the first Saturday of each month. Please check the calendar for upcoming dates.
  5. IDENTIFICATION - All customers must provide two forms of identification.
  6. PAYMENT - Full payment is due upon pick-up.We accept Cash/Check/Visa/MC.
  7. RENTAL AGREEMENT - All customers must sign the Off-Premise Rental Agreement upon delivery of the equipment. To view the agreement cick here.
  8. RESERVATIONS - Equipment can be reserved by calling our office. See Contact Us.
  9. PICKUP/DROP-OFF - Equipment may be picked up after 3:00 pm the day before your rental date and must be returned by 12:00 pm the day after your rental date.
  10. LATE FEES - Late fees will be assessed.
